Tips to reduce weight

  1. Cut down carbohydrates
  2. Consume whole grain cereals instead of refined grain products
  3. Eat more healthy proteins
    1. Meat: beef, chicken, pork, and lamb
    2. Fish and seafood: salmon, trout, and shrimp
    3. Eggs: whole eggs with the yolk
    4. Plant-based proteins: beans, legumes, and soy
  1. Eat more fruits (at least 2 servings per day)
  2. Eat more vegetables (at least 3 servings per day)
  3. Increase consumption of legumes
  4. Consume ‘Naadu’ rice instead of other small(small in size) rice varieties
  5. Do exercises at least 30 minutes a day, at least three times per week
  6. Drink water, especially before meals
  7. Eat slowly, chew slowly
  8. Avoid sugary drinks, sugary snacks, empty calorie foods/drinks and fast food
  9. Use smaller plates to eat
  10. Do not skip meals
  11. Keep good timing between meals and snacks
  12. Eat healthy snacks
