About the Nutrition Society​

TThe Nutrition Society of Wayamba University (NutSoc) was established in 2002 with intentions to develop a linkage between the university and the community through disseminating nutrition knowledge and applying it to the community, and by conducting various outreach activities with the help of public and private sector organizations. Diverse activities are planned and carried out yearly, by NutSoc to develop the necessary skills and transform the attitudes & approaches of the undergraduates who’re specializing in the field of Nutrition to bolster their professional development. NutSoc expects to strive towards building a healthier nation through the diffusion of nutrition knowledge and helping to produce more energetic, creative, and efficient professionals in different fields in Food and Nutrition locally and internationally.
